I finished my A-level exam at Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium in Falkensee, a town close to Berlin. I started my studies of business administration at Humboldt-Universitšt zu Berlin in 1998, with special focus on business information technology, entrepreneurial sciences and statistics.
For more than three years I worked for the Institute for Statistics and Econometrics as a student assistant and worked on various technical (Java, HTML) and organizational projects.
In October 2003 I became research associate and Ph.d. student at the Institute for Statistics and Econometrics at Humboldt-Universitšt, since 2006 I also worked for the Financial and Economics Data Center at the Collaborative Research Center "Economic Risk" (Sonderforschungsbereich 649 "Ökonomisches Risiko").
In October 2008 I joined the private bank Sal. Oppenheim in Cologne, where I worked as an IT-consultant in the private banking branch of the bank. In April 2009 I joined Sal. Oppenheim Private Equity Partners as IT projectmanager.
During my studies at Humboldt I got in touch with the typesetting system LaTeX. For the past ten years I have been working intensively with this great piece of software and want to share my knowledge and experience via this website. Furthermore you can find codes and information on various IT-related topics here.
